Embryo adoption has grown in popularity since this CNN News piece from about ten years ago. Embryo adoption is no longer a hot topic button within the stem cell debate, but stands as a viable option for families with remaining embryos. To date, there are more than 380 babies who have been born through the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption Program alone and over 6,000 have been born through both embryo donation and adoption since 1997. Over 600,000 embryos remain in frozen storage and that number, along with the potential for those embryos to fulfill the dreams of adoptive families, continues to grow.
