Today is the start of National Infertility Awareness Week. To mark the occasion, we here at the Embryo Adoption Awareness Center want all families struggling with infertility to be aware of their options to achieve of pregnancy including embryo adoption.

“Given that this is National Infertility Awareness Week, we think it’s important for couples to know this option (embryo adoption) is available for them. Many medical professionals are still learning about this potential family building solution. It is certainly an economical option for those considering ART – especially if the couple is considering the purchase of donor human eggs. In addition, many clinic embryo donation programs have long waiting lists for patients interested in using donated embryos. Embryo Adoption Programs have donated embryos waiting for families.”

Kimberly Tyson, Director, Embryo Adoption Awareness Center

Here are three simple things you can do to help spread the word about embryo adoption and let families facing infertility know about this affordable and successful solution.

  1. Share a post on your social media helping to make people aware of National Infertility Awareness Week and of Embryo Adoption. Make sure to include #NationalInfertilityAwarenessWeek (for Facebook) or #NIAW (for Twitter) and #embryoadoption
  2. If you have remaining embryos, join us for a special evening webinar called “Embryo Donation Solutions” set for Thursday, April 24th at 6pm MT. This webinar will focus on options for families who have remaining embryos in frozen storage and introduce a new, low cost embryo storage program through Fairfax Cryobank and the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption Program. Register for this event on the Webinar Registration page of EmbryoAdoption.org.
  3. If you or someone you know is struggling with infertility, visit us at EmbryoAdoption.org where we have many resources available, including brochures, an extensive FAQ section, webinars, videos, news stories and a list of embryo adoption agencies around the country.
  4. Share your story with us. If you have faced infertility and chose embryo donation or adoption to help build your family, we want to hear about it. Tell us about your journey via written testimony, video or voice recording. Email us at Adam@Nightlight.org

You can help make a difference in the lives of families struggling with infertility everywhere. Just share the hope.
