Couple Sees Success With Embryo Adoption
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Over 7 million couples in the United States are struggling to start a family. But what if you could have a baby by adopting an embryo? A local couple did just that. KMBC's Bev Chapman reported that the California woman who gave birth to octuplets sparked a national dialogue over what to do with extra embryos -- would-be babies created by couples going through in-vitro fertilization. Embryo adoption is one option that is giving infertile couples new hope. "I never thought I would get to be pregnant since we faced infertility and knew we were going to adopt. So to find out there was a way to be pregnant and still adopt, we were thrilled," said Lara Kruse. WATCH and READ the story at KMBC Channel 9 Kansas City.
