Many men were taught as young boys that expressing certain emotions (such as fear or vulnerability) would lead them to be perceived as less masculine. Because of this, most avoid help during emotionally stressful times. Male infertility accounts for approximately 1/3 of all infertility cases, and while it is never an easy topic for anyone, women have proven to be much more outspoken about their emotional pain when trying to have a baby. Men instead often choose to step to the side, supporting their spouse’s physical and emotional journey, while never taking time to process through their own grief. Join us as Jason Hughes, Professional Counselor, shares his own experience with infertility and adoption. Providing tips to help men that are facing their infertility with silence.
